Here, it's an update. On like, my life.
College is going well, it's really...REALLY easy to have only four classes. I'll probably take more next semester, but really, wow. Art history is very interesting, and I hope I'll do well on my upcoming tests. Basic Media studies is relatively dull, but we get to watch movies and Katie and I are in it together, so we just doodle all class :) It's fun.
Drawing is everything I could have hoped for in a class, which surprised me. Everything we do is observational, which makes me happy. The classes are structured to what we should be trying to develop, but not boxed in so we can only do one thing. My teacher is helpful as well as kind in his critiques (and amazingly talented, on a side note), and I learn a lot from him. Katie's in that class with me too, so that's more good times XD But most of all drawing makes me happy because I can DO it. I'm MAKING that progress, I'm picking up these skills that I've needed for so long. I'm producing observational work that I'm actually happy with, that I can actually look at as a piece of art. I can complete the assignments on time and on command. It's this class that tells me "yes, being an illustrator is really what you want to do, you're on the right track."

I like being told that :)

Oh, and UMBC gave me an iPod shuffle for winning the admissions survey drawing. Fill out more surveys, it's good for you.

Reminder list:
Art History II quiz tomorrow, study.
Bring portfolio to school, idiot. Stop leaving your newsprint at home.
Line-drawing homework due tomorrow.
Send out letters to Kat, Nil, and package to Misty.
