soltianI've actually done this before, but I'm really off my rocker and doing it again. For some reason.
Please throw anything at me! I would LOVE to talk about characters endlessly.

He's fantastic, a great dirty feral little boy. I have a long history with him and the fandom so he has tons of sentimental value, too.

I don't think so?? (What plot). He held off Ukon and Sakon until Kankuro came along to gut them.

He's VERY easy to relate to, very natural and warm and passionate. I love this kid.

EEEEEEE in several ways over the years, naturally. Neji is my top, even though it makes no sense. Screw sense. Hinata is second, Shino third.

MMMM I would give him a horrible mullet, no one should talk to me.

I'd ruffle him and try to tease him because that's what I do.

Hmm, sort of and sort of not? He's on the list of people I'm not going to ever forget.

Aang is great. He's not someone I'm immediately drawn to, but he has a very impressive composition as a character, and they carry him really strongly through to the end. He's a perfect focal character, that's for sure.

WELL YEAH.

Yeah, he can really get to me at times. I like it when he kicks Azula's ass in the Drill.

Ups and downs and all arounds aside, I really love Kirihara. He's awful, he's violent, and he's just a really bratty little boy. It makes him awesomely fun to play around with, and in the end he's got heartfelt emotions. He's a winner.

Er, yeah, actually, now that I think about it. He's a Konomi favorite.

Way too much, actually XD I've OD'ed on Kirihara many many times. Love him <3

Really great crowd, lots of friendly people <3 Part of the appeal of the series in the first place.

Hooboy..this keeps changing around a lot all the time...but for as brief a list as possible, Sanada, An, Ryoma.

I would skip that bit at the end where he turned red and his hair turned white. That was just silly XD

AWJEKLJAWEKLAKWEKWAEWAE I love him. LOVE LOVE LOVE him absolutely adore. How he ended up so happy in such a fucked up generation I do not understand, but dear gosh he is just the cutest most SELF RESPONSIBLE person ever. He's just ... so much about living life how YOU want to live it, and doing what YOU want to do. Wearing what you want to wear! Earning your OWN self respect and approval! And you know what? He somehow appeals to me (and Lee, of course!) a thousand times more than Naruto does because unlike Naruto, Gai doesn't magically win everyone over, charm everyone he comes across, isn't always right, the show's morals aren't really directed on whether or not he can relate to a bad guy, and he never gives people magical 'convert to good' punches. Therefore, he's more real to me, because the whole 'do what you want to do' lesson in life isn't nearly as endearing when everyone in society magically loves you for breaking its rules :|

I relate to Lee more, honestly. Nothing's really known about Gai's past and he's too much win and confidence for me to relate to him, so instead I relate to the adorable insecure-but-trying-to-blossom Lee that worships Gai's every step. Because uh. That's what I do. Yes Gai grips me emotionally.

UMMM AS HOT AS KISAME WOULD BE PHYSICALLY Gai and Kisame to me are too far opposite of each other on the moral compass/philosophical compass scale. The only way I can ship people that are that opposite in morals is if they have a past together or some deep way they can relate to each other, and uh since we don't know the past of either I'll just say I shallowly ship Kisame and Gai tearing each other to shreds in a vicious battle.
Kakashi!! Totally love GaiKaka, even if I don't see it ever being full blown romantic because Kakashi has so much to gain from anything with Gai while he has very little to offer him. They are wonderful comrades and I do ship it, just on a weird level.
ANKO! Gai/Anko is hot as hell to me and I can just totally see it, even if he'd make her super uncomfortable first with his romance and old fashioned ways.
Gai/Tsume would be hot as helllll.
GaiNeji, SEE WHO DOESNT MAKE SENSE but really GaiNeji and GaiTen. Not GaiLee because the power imbalance is too apparent, and there are LINES in that relationship and it is just so much adorable soulmateness that I don't see a reason to try to shift it to romantic/sexual and make Gai and Lee angst over having really really inappropriate feelings when they are perfect for each other right now as they are as BFF master and pupil.
But with Neji and Tenten (okay cultural anthropology major geek coming out this is where I am apathetic to age difference and can see a huge disparity between a teacher and a student in a classroom setting and a teacher and a student who fight ninja shit and go around camping out together and spending day in day out fighting with each other and yeah w/e *UNASHAMED*) idk, both don't see him as this INFALLIBLE AMAZING PERFECT PERSON like Lee does, and both kind of (wrongly) see themselves as more mature than him so it's easy for me to think it would be cuuuute and hilarious and embarrassing and not like, creepy on the level I think GaiLee is since if gai told lee to jump off a cliff he'd do it (NOT TO JUDGE PEOPLE WHO LIKE THAT, BECAUSE .. I GUESS I CAN SEE WHERE THEY COME FROM. I mean seriously, if it WOULDN'T give Gai guilt issues from hell? Those two would be absolutely perfect for each other. I like entertaining the thought of them being students together :) then it suddenly becomes OTP level. Gai being Lee's cooler, one-year-older friend that inspires him and believes in him and Lee crushes on like mad. And Gai totally beats up Neji and Sasuke and anyone who picks on him. And uh yeah anyway).
Um GaiShizune could be cute? IDK thats all I can think of. But Gai is hot with almost anyone to me :\ and so self-assured that I can't see him bringing anything bad into a relationship. Other than embarrassing people with intimacy.

I LOVE KIBA and I wish he were more popular with fandom. With gai i understand because people are dumb and can't accept his hot manliness, but with Kiba like HIS. DESIGN IS SO SEXY ALONE. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? I think akamaru cockblocks him. Anyway, he's funny and I love his energy!! And mmmn, that jacket in part II.

I can relate to him because his personality is very much how I present myself outwardly! He doesn't grip me emotionally though, but he's made me wibble and laugh quite a bit.

My numero uno pairing with him would probably be Hinata! Because d'aww, how can you not love that? So cute, so much respect and guh. i love it. Then comes Shino because their dynamics are adorable. Then comes Kankuro because aaghh the banter and flirting between them is just too hot to imagine. Then comes Neji because I like when people annoy Neji and then top him, okay? Then uh I think he'd be quite cute with Ino, and perhaps throw in some Suigetsu if we're talking part 2 stuff.
... I SWEAR I DONT SHIP THIS MUCH WITH EVERYONE gai and kiba are just special hot exceptions. well and lee and sakura who also go well with everyone to me lol :(

His family seems super cool and although I bet his house smells, I would love to hang out with all of them. Kiba strikes me as someone who respects women a lot. I like that :D

I like him a lot!! Definitely my favourite out of the Akatsuki along with Sasori. He's a great character and has interesting quirks. I'm glad hse's survived so far, because I really want to get his backstory. Really really really.

Itachi, of course. I ship that. Perhaps some past stuff with Zabuza but really Itachi gets my heart in this pairing. Kisame is very polite so while I could see him flirting with a few ladies/boys I can't see him uh holding a relationship because of how sociopathic and sadistic he really is.
I like the idea of Kisame/Konan for no real reason.

I LOVE HIM TO BITS. I loved him a lot before he got Narutofied INSERT EYE ROLL HERE but he still makes my heart melt. I think he's come a long way and I just love how critical/erudite and insightful and pensive he is and he's just so. Neji. And is a grump, yet is also zen. Totally adore him.

In part I I'd say he was rather important but alas.

HMMMM I can relate to not being able to let go of some things and fatalism. Yes, he grips me emotionally.

HIS. ENTIRE. TEAM. No really, and not just in a polyamorous threesome/foursome/whateversome. Individually I love them all. I love the kinship/adorable teasing I could see between NejiTen, and the fact that she's probably so used to his BS that she could handle it. I love the history between NejiLee, the mutual respect, and the plain cuteness I could see. There's a lot of gentleness beneath the rivalry. I love the hilarious role-reversal when it comes to outward maturity between Gai and Neji, the subversion of Father issues, and the fact that they both probably think the other is quite impossible so GaiNeji too y. Basically his entire team should top him hard forever.
Outside of his team I don't really ship him with anyone but Kiba :| Picky Tati is picky. Kiba has the energy that i love so much about team gai so awl;eklawe i could see it working in a dysfunctional cute way.
InoNeji for the pretty, I guess? Anko topping him would be hot too. But the above pairings are the ones I like for actual RELATIONSHIPS rather than just sexings.

I'd think he's ... oddly hot. But quickly get annoyed. But want to see him in porn because uh aesthetically his top is my ideal bottom to the manly type with a lot of bravado and assertiveness.

I LOVE JOHAN. He is hilarious without trying to be to me, but also very heartbreaking. I have this ... weird love for characters with identity issues or characters that were traumatized by something that happened to their loved one instead of them (with the loved one still ... alive) l;kwleklwae and I just uh. Love him and he breaks my heart.

Johan/Suk is my top ship for him. I really just liked that Johan seemed to actually have a good time with him? And that entire date was hot as hell to me. Suk is just a big goof , too, and I love those types of characters.
As stated before, I like Johan/Roberto too.
And I really love Johan/Tenma. Considering the fact that romantic love is often such a cheap imitation of parental love I could see it slipping into infatuation easily for Johan. Platonically I love them even more because I love what they both represented :( and how Johan was so convinced that he could break and push Tenma to show how ideologies were just ideologies and could never be a real truth to stick by.

I have kind of mixed feelings on Mai? I LOVED her when she was first introduced - I was really enthused to see her type of character (in an american cartoon, no less) being used in a non-stereotypical way...then it seemed like they kind of diverted from that.

In small ways, yeah? I mean she pretty much gives it up so the main cast can escape prison, that's pretty important.

Half-half, she'd be easier for me to access if a few things were different, but I don't dislike the concept of her.

HARD TO SAY. I have not really sunk into the Avatar fandom that much but there are some really fucking AWESOME examples of it here and there, which I indulge in, and then seem to ignore the bulk of it I might find more upsetting XD;;;

Here we go...
Tai Lee/Mai all the way. I was really intrigued by this right off, they have all the right chemistry and the right level of comfortable affection versus okay not-THAT-comfortable-am-I setup. I hate to sound gay but they go together like sunshine and rain, and in the end I'd think they'd make each other really happy.
Mai/Zuko, sadly, WAS interesting to me BEFORE it actually happened. Her relationship with Zuko was the beginning of the end for me, it wasn't at all the back and forth tension I was envisioning, they both kind of fell into it, and I found that hard to swallow and harder to support. I guess you could say I ship Mai/Zuko, but I would have to see the awkward development stage that I (in my bastard way) think SHOULD have been there, given the really fretfully socially inept aspects to both their personalities.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
The whole Mai/Zuko thing, again. Nothing else really needs to change, in essence I do love her :(
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how do you see yourself interacting with him/her? (Would you get along well? Fall in love with? Dislike? Friendly rivalry? etc etc)
I think I'd be friends with her, actually. I'm toned down enough that I wouldn't get on her nerves, and I'd find her pretty cool. Provided I'm fire nation wait I'm earth nation okay she'd hate me.

Nah, but that's not really her fault...
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about (if you dislike) to someone whose new to the fandom?
I don't think I would do that with most characters...

Yeah, I think so? Yeah. Yeah, she is.
