Art post again!

My best Lifestyle assignment yet! Vices and Virtues, we were asked to design Theatre-style posters representing one of each. I was assigned Greed and Charity.

Character development assignment, we were asked to design 5"x5" environments that acted as characters themselves, so to speak. From top left clockwise, "Vast", "Simple", "Intimate", and "Quiet".

The next step of the assignment was to choose one of our environments and place a character we had already drawn for class in it. Fuchi has never actually been in an asylum, but it'd probably be the best plan.

Another editorial assignment, about the rising costs of aging and medical care. Really different, but I like it all the same :) Collage is great.

Character development again, antique mascot redesigns. This little guy was known as the Frito Bandito back in the late sixties, and, for obvious reasons, has been phased out since then. I redesigned him for today's market, and we were also asked to create a ridiculous version to advertise another product of our choice. Chilis' condoms are probably an even worse concept than the drawing itself, but I try my best in all fields.

Concepts assignment to illustrate poems written by local middle school and high school students. The poems are assigned to three different classes, and whoever does the best work on their poem gets selected to be printed on posters for the local buses and trains. Long rambling description, I know, but I was selected, which is super exciting!

Illust II assignment. I swear. We were supposed to...illustrate an unusual combination of fictional characters. People that go together but in a funny way. I love Boba Fett.

And a little Watchmen fanart just for fun <3 I fully admit to riding the wave of popularity the movie brought in.

I don't really post sketches anymore, do I. I have some, they're just..not here. Maybe next time!

I am late on this (shock!!) but oh man, the first one is SO fun to look at--so many little details to notice between the two panels! I love the tiny little detail of the woman who you can just barely see in both trying to alert the people on the greed side that the people on the charity side are dumping all their gold. Awesome!

That illustrating poetry assignment is SO cool. What a neat idea! And congrats on yours being picked!!

Thanks a ton! That Greed/Charity thing took me way too long in a lot of ways; lots of clumsy figuring-things-out process XD But it paved the way FOR that poetry thing, which is good, since that actually means something!
