Ok, I did a little bit of research.

That is the page for a school in DC describing their foundation year courses. They accept applications on a rolling basis, so it's certianly not too late to apply....looking at that site makes me wnat to go to that school O_O;

They offer housing, thought I am not sure of the cost, and tuition is pretty low ($16K), perhaps you could try to go there for a year and then transfer?
