An "outrageous advertisement" assignment. I really don't like the Trix rabbit, so ironically enough this is how I try to get myself TO like him.

Yes, Lloyd. Yes it is. Cleaned up and posted because I was inspired to the point of giggles that

Date: 2008-09-25 06:10 pm (UTC)CG is poorly written, and that's a fact. But if one can deal with it, it might have some traits it's interesting to investigate privately =P
I'm also growing persuaded that the more plotholes and crap a show bring, the more the creative fan feels the urge to ... redirect the flux of it via its creative job. What is awesome and complete by itseldf doesn't need to be fan-fixed *if you can pass over the words game ^_-*
There are, clearly, exceptions to this. Series like One Piece & Last Exile I so damn adore them it was impossible not to freak over it, but taking too series with an equal degrees of my appreciation, the one that is objectively worse developed is also the one I feel more inspired too work on...
This is gone long enough, I just wonder how do you, as a fanartist, feel about it..?
ah, and my icon, you won't probably get it in any case since it's the italian for 'suck it!' - commonly used as a sort of ironic reply, sometimes^^;
Because Aizen-sama is nasty like that.

Date: 2008-09-26 05:15 am (UTC)I totally understand what you mean when you talk about "patching up" series that need serious help as a fanartist, too. That's actually what got me started - when I watched Digimon for the first time I enjoyed it immensely, but wasn't intimidated because its structure was flawed and easy to work into. Since I felt comfortable worming my way in even with my own meager skills, it gave me the springboard to draw and draw and draw.
At this point, though, I'm not sure WHAT my exact motivation stems from when it comes to fanwork XD It seems to be a different thing for every series! With things like Prince of Tennis there's definitely the "fan-fix" appeal, since its a dreadfully flawed show plotwise, but there's also a great community of people to talk to through that fandom...Lately all my fansketches have been dedicated to salivating indecently over Monster, though, which obviously does not need any help plotwise, but it gets my blood boiling like crazy when I think of all the POSSIBILITIES T_T. ALL THE POSSIBILITIES THAT ARE LEFT UNTOLD.

Date: 2008-09-26 09:08 am (UTC)In the meantime, you should go for Ep.17 of the first season. There's enough Lloyd, Cécile and good Suzaku there. And Rakshata, too =)
I guess you've already watched the picture drama that hinted the whole Lloyd- Cecile stuff, in any case, it's PD 3 - stage 6.75
The PoT fandom is love.. really, and it has been the first big fandom I've been in lj-wise, and grow sadly persuaded that it was almost the same everywhere...ahhha...! ahahahahah! *silly me*
