My father was friends with a watercolor artist many years ago and this person told him once that someone who wants to master the medium would have to make a thousand watercolor paintings before they could make that claim. I never really understood what he meant by that until I tried it myself. It really is a difficult substance to work with.

(Also, those Ancient Greeks and their crazy/intriguing morality XDDD)
