Art and life update!

I think I wait until all my feelings are over and the details are washed out of my system to actually start talking about anything. But hey, I get it out in real time. In summary: I got a job! I'm no longer in danger of starving to death or being kicked out of my apartment.

In art news, I'm in a bit of a slump. Not in terms of actually drawing, but really feeling it like I used to. I've been trying to indulge myself more, which, of course, causes a huge delay in the work I've been doing on commissions (obligatory mention of guilt). Be that as it may, I still have quite a bit to share, including some COMIC pages - weird, right.

I'll start off with the comic...technically I'm not supposed to be posting the whole thing of this anywhere, since it's an entry for a closed-forum OCT but...um, I do comics so inoften I think at least my LJ friendslist deserves to see. Anyway, round one, the saga of Vito and my opponent's character, Llyradh.

That's the cool thing about class distinction when I mess around with a fantasy universe, Ilius gets to be a Duke and Vito gets to be some muscle-bound tramp that Ilius picks up to have as a guard/pet.

Commissionnssss <3 A character turnaround, Gustav and Maiza from Baccano (for kazooie <3), Garp and Sengoku from One Piece (dear lord too good), and of course, one of my crowning achievements of the year, Jimmy and Chazz for xenafox <3 <3 She gave me the prompt "Peacock" and I..ran...with that.


Lucya Filip. Need to make some revisions on him, he's not bringing anything special to the table just yet.




Lucya Sano, male version and boobs version. I forgot her tail, I'll add it in later. WHY DO I KEEP SLIPPING UP ON REALLY OBVIOUS THINGS. Sano is a gang leader, he managed to make a bunch of idiots follow him around and club bears or something.


Quasimodo as a cat because you now want this cat. He's a deformed persian. Everyone would have wanted to raise him if he had been a cat.

It's so good to hear from you!! I totally know what you mean about just not having the drive for arting. I had a complete and total creative dry spell this summer, probably because it's so suffocating at home, ugh...

But now I'm working on a massive fanfic that's exceeded 25k and I haven't even gotten to the first major revelation. This thing is gonna be incredible.

And sketchies, 'course.

Yeah, life! Things happening! Gahhhh XD I'm actually hoping to have a studio space outside of my house pretty soon, so I really hope that helps with the problem. I feel that suffocation problem exactly.

Oh man I knowwww. I'm finally seeking help about it, too, because it got really bad this summer. I'm hoping to stay on-campus during the summer and winter and spring breaks because it's just so much preferable.

OMG YOU HAVE NO GOD DAMN IDEA. It's for Naruto, it's a series continuation having to do with clones and debates of NATURE VERSUS NURTURE (omg this is a huge one) and yakuza wars and nerdcore rappers and dust zombies and urban legends and FORBIDDEN BABIES FREAKING EVERYWHERE (seriously like half the cast is either illegitimate or adopted and it's AWESOME) and Sasuke being a horribly emotionally abusive father and Naruto having a surrogate family because he's never married and never has kids and just a whole freaking lot of stuff. Oh, and Karin being damn awesome, and Team Hebi forming the strangest, cutest family ever.

I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU A BETTER SUMMARY but there it is, all pouring out. I SERIOUSLY MIGHT MAKE IT BIG WITH THIS, THOUGH.

Also, I repeat: KITTIES.

(DUDE I GET THE BEST SHIFTS. I work 11PM-7AM on Friday-into-Saturday and Saturday-into-Sunday when there's home football games, and 11PM-3AM on Tuesday-into-Wednesday otherwise. NOBODY. EVER. BOTHERS ME. So I get to chill on my laptop all night and do as I please. And nobody ever wants these shifts but, haha. >D Gettin' paid to stay up late.)

Holy crap that sounds so fucking epic. I haven't been in the Naruto fandom for years now but I think it still almost made me pee myself a little. YOU WILL BE A HUGE FANDOM GIANT WITH THIS FIC I AM SURE.

KITTIES. I met this one at the shelter the other day that was SO FUCKING FAT. Like seriously imagine the biggest watermelon you've ever seen, then turn it into a cat with a tiny cat head and tiny cat legs and tail on top. IT WAS SO CUTE.

I LOVE THOSE TIMES <3 I've started working evenings with my job, actually, and I fucking love it, I really wish I had more "after phone" hours to work with.

I've been watching Disney's Hunchback too much, it's...very...inspiring, somehow. And thank you <3 I found out I freaking love doing Baccano art, I need to do some kind of serious tribute to that series it made me so happy.

That comic is so priceless. I love the advantage-taking situation, and the art is nice comic quality. As always, your drawing of expressions gives me a happy.

The Illus/Vito piece is hot. Yay fantasy and master/pet relationships! Vito sounds interesting, and I like that he's muscley, not scrawny. Nice change from the typical situation.

I like the first and fourth commissions a lot. The character design is cool, I hope the person is happy with it. The peacock piece is simply gorgeous. I love their tails and the head-feathers are a very nice touch. Hooray for your use of vibrant colors.

Male Sano's cocky grin does it for that drawing, I think. Nice.

I like the female Sano a lot, nice costume rippage detail. And I love her haiiirrr.
