soltianDumping a bunch of Thor art in here that I haven't put up on my LJ yet because I keep telling myself that I'll get back in the habit of posting art on my LJ and I never do so - today I am breaking that pattern.

Then the messengers left her; they mournfully crossed Bifrost. And what they had to say was clear from the manner of their coming.
The gods and goddesses ached; they felt old and confused and unable and weary. And not one of them doubted that Thokk, the giantess who would not weep, was Loki.
Ikol then lit on my shoulder, with an unnatural screech - Huginn and Muninn’s red eyes burnt resentment, and then they were gone.
Keep your head up, child, keep your eyes forward. Ikol whispered in my ear, his voice more gentle than I had ever known it. They speak of me, not of you.

Those who knew Thor from a distance would say he commanded the storms, and they were, of course, correct. What only those intimate with him knew, was that somewhere between the calm of total control and the brink of chaos, Thor’s hand closed on Mjolnir when his blood boiled with the unspeakable. Inexpressible by words, laughter, or screams, he would give himself up to her, and the storm would simply come.

How I feel about this character:
He’s become one of my all-time favorites. He’s brash, violent, clever, blind, loving, and terrible all at once. I love how tactile he feels, his need for physicality as a character makes him very instinctive to connect to.
All the people I ship romantically with this character:
Loki, Mjolnir, Sif, and Frigga. I will also read anything that’s written well, but am more inclined to ship him with fellow immortals.
My non-romantic OTP for this character:
Thor x ALL the Warriors Three bro*4tpforlife.
My unpopular opinion about this character:
Aside from the movie, I ignore almost every Marvel version of Thor. I tend to depict Thor as my interpretation of Mythology Thor with Chris Hemsworth’s body. Also, I think Thor makes a really shitty hero. He’s not noble, he’s out for glory, and can get flippant, petty and incredibly self-interested.
How I feel about this character:
Adoration. There are few characters in the history of all human mythology and storytelling that bring to mind such an immediate notion of duplicity, trickery, and mayhem as the name “Loki”. The greatest thing about him is that I see every single version of Loki as true in one way or another, he’s always something new, always has a new face, is never single-stream. A trickster among tricksters, a master of madness.
All the people I ship romantically with this character:
Thor, Balder, Sigyn, Angrboda, Sif, Svadilfari, Fandral, Thrym, Tyr, Mephisto, Tentacles, Himself. Also, write it well, and I’ll read it. Loki is not exactly prudish.
My non-romantic OTP for this character:
I saved this spot for Amora. Not that they don’t have sex, because they absolutely do have sex. They are just not romantically interested in one another. More like an extremely dangerous partnership.
My unpopular opinion about this character:
Loki is the prince of making unpopular opinions moot. I like to believe some unconventional things about Loki (that “he” is intersex, that all those myths are QUITE literal about fucking horses and having babies as a milkmaid), but whether these opinions are unpopular or not I’m too sheltered to know.
