I KNOW RIGHT? I was like where is THAT, Pete, use THAT more often! But then again he never would because he thinks seducing women is all about *gettin sexy* and that was him being...well, genuine and warm. IT WORKS A LOT BETTER THOUGH, PETE, TRUST ME. YOUR GETTIN SEXY MODE IS JUST SAD.
*He totally hit a lucky gold mine with Trudy. At the end of S2 I was convinced his marriage was gonna go the same way as Don's. HEY THEN AT LEAST THEY COULD BE ALIKE IN EVERY WAY RIGHT? I still fucking love the parallel, though, of how awful Betty and Don are compared to how amazing Pete and Trudy are (DID YOU SEE I LISTED THE GIRLS FIRST IN BOTH THOSE RELATIONSHIPS HAW).
**RIGHT?? I COULDN'T STAND HER. AND EVERY TIME SHE AND HENRY WERE ABOUT TO DO THE NASTY I WANTED TO THROW UP IN MY MOUTH. Poor Sally. Poor poor Sally. I guess Betty used up all her "smart independent woman" points on kicking Don out, and now she's doomed to a life of bitchy/slutty/irresponsible housewife of an older man.
"Gettin sexy mode" trololololol. do you remember his face-hiding fail when he tried to pick up the blonde in the green dress during his own bachelor party in the S1 pilot? and then his crash-and-burn with the shopgirl when he tries to return the chip-and-dip? i am honestly curious how the heck he managed to get trudy interested in the first place. i can only assume that he was completely oblivious to her hotness and accidentally treated her like a human being.
betty and pete are big, bratty girls. i think that was the entire message of the Rome episode. also, the idea of those two interacting, let alone being in a relationship -- hah! could you imagine the epic poutfest that would ensue? i think i have discovered the worst uncanon MM pairing possible.
i don't hate henry and i do think that he IS right for betty, in that silver-fox chivalric way. however, they have no business getting busy on my screen. poor sally indeed. obviously pete and trudy should adopt her, so that trudy has a baby (er, child) to dote on and pete has a living specimen of Draper's DNA around the house.
OH GOD I REMEMBER ALL OF THAT SO CLEARLY. Especially that friend of his that came around when he was trying to hit on the shopgirl, and his bitchy little comment at the end of the whole exchange. "He has the clap." YEAH BECAUSE BEING SORE AND SNIPPY IS REAL HOT TO THE LADIES YOU LITTLE ASSHOLE. I think that's the only way, honestly, which goes along with the fact that it didn't seem like he was that attracted to Trudy at first. It just kind of grew gradually when she turned out to be perfect for him.
Oh god imagining Betty and Pete in a room just made me think about them bitching to each other about Don. "HE'S SUCH A LIAR" "HE'S MEAN TO ME ALL THE TIME" "HE WON'T EVEN FUCK ME" "HE WON'T EVEN FUCK ME EITHER!!!" "Wait what."
Exactly. Henry's kind of nice and he's good for Betty (better than Don anyway) but I really don't want to see them get it on. With Don out of the picture all the sexy went out of that house, sorry. Pete would be a really creepy foster father for Sally. Just staring with his big blue eyes at this spawn of Don. He wouldn't know how to handle it.
They should leave Bobby though, what is wrong with him. Everytime he's on screen I'm so confused and mildly offended.
I feel so bad for Henry, really, Betty IS his good catch but man oh man is she terrible with selling herself to people who don't have penises. He's trying so hard to let everyone know she's actually worth having but they're all giving him that knowing up and down look.
Bobby is really the most superfluous character on the series. Has he exhibited anything resembling a personality in the last 3 seasons?
"Betty IS his good catch but man oh man is she terrible with selling herself to people who don't have penises." HA HA HA HA HA so true! I'm surprised that she even managed to find a friend in Francine altho it's my pet theory that Francine srsly wants to bone her and just doesn't realize it.
And MAJOR QUESTION: how old is Henry supposed to be? Because his mother... doesn't look old enough to be his mother. If that makes sense. Or maybe I'm terrible at telling ages.
God, Henry is.......every age. You're right, he has that head of hair like Roger but he's definitely closer to Don's age, I don't think Betty would settle for much else.
Bobby sometimes talks like he's been hit in the head too many times. He's just so...everyone seems so hesitant to pay attention to him, lest he locks on. HE JUST MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE HE NEEDS TO GO AWAY. Sally has gotten much better, but I feel so terrible for her.
